Our fourth time here and as good as the first. Our favourite location. Magnificent views from all over the peninsula. Too many favourites to mention. Brightwater is the perfect location to sit and admire or get out and explore. Unbelievable weather – didn’t think we would need sun cream! No jumpers needed this week. Looking forward to next time already. Many thanks.

A great stay at beautiful Brightwater. Wonderful setting, scenery and wildlife WOW ! Thank you to Christine and Ian for the lovely welcome and pack. The cake was lovely, highly recommended. Life really did slow down, which was great. We have had a lovely holiday and we can’t recommend it highly enough. Many thanks.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brightwater. Cottage ideally situated, lovely views, Well equipped and the appliances easy to use. Welcome pack well received. Weather – mixed but we still got out and about; managed a few walks and enjoyed the tour of the lighthouse. Our wildlife observations are in the Nature Diary.

Another fabulous stay at Brightwater. This lodge has everything you need for a relaxing break away. The views are breath taking and the welcome pack and cake are always much appreciated. (Myla loved her doggy bag, especially the ball!). Sad to be leaving this beautiful place but looking forward to next year’s visit.

Another wonderful week here – our third visit to this special place. Thank you to the Brightwater team. It is always with sadness that we leave but with the hope of returning again.

Our return to the lodge has been simply breath taking. Just what we all needed! The attention to detail, beautifully equipped lodge, and magical location are like a slice of heaven. We squeezed in visits to the Hide, Castle Tioram, the Point, 2 trips to Sanna Bay, Fascadale and the bay at the bottom of Ben Hiant. Plus – we saw lots of deer, badgers at night, seals, lots of birds and lovely Herons. The stars on a clear night were an extra bonus – loved them! Can’t wait to come back again. Thankyou Brightwater team.

Our third visit, and again a fantastic stay. The lodge is as perfect as ever – immaculate, well looked after and a joy to visit. The weather was “hit and miss” but we managed a number of walks – The Singing Sands, the Silver Circle and beautiful Sanna, and the lighthouse (on a very stormy day!). Having never seen an eagle on our two prior visits, we were also treated to numerous sightings this time, including at the lodge! The badger also visited nightly for a jam sandwich and peanut butter. We also topped up the bird feeders and were treated to a host of finches and tits, when not blown away! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we’ll see you next year!

This was our first trip to the area with our baby boy. We have been staying around here for many years and loved introducing him to one of our favourite places. (Stayed in Aspen Lodge before) Lots of lovely walks, the wind and rain gave us a good excuse to stay by the fire and sip our whiskey. Enjoyed some lovely steaks cooked on the BBQ. What a treat to have homemade cake and jam for us on arrival. Absolutely delicious. Amazing to see the badger and pine marten a lot during our stay. Looking forward to coming back.

WOW, what a lovely place, we know it as we tried to buy Aspen Lodge 5 years ago as our main home. The lodge is lovely and very well presented, what made it even better was the gorgeous cake from Christine on arrival and the lovely welcome basket and essentials, milk and bread etc. The location is perfect and the house is great. We will probably be back at this time of year as you do get magnificent sunrises and sunsets, beautiful light on the loch. This has been a wonderful place to spend our 22nd wedding anniversary. What a place and how lovely are Christine and Ian. Thank you, all the best

What a magical place to spend Christmas and New Year! The lodge is situated in a great place to sit and admire the views and watch the wildlife. The weather was mixed but that did not matter and we still managed to do some lovely walks to Kentra Bay and the Singing Sands, Sanna Bay and the Lighthouse. The cake made by Christine was delicious. There is no doubt we will be back. Huge thank you.
