What’s included in the price?

Prices include electricity and VAT. The log burning stove is set for you and initial logs supplied free of charge. Extra logs are supplied at £5 per basket. A cot and high chair are available upon request at no extra cost.

What if I have to cancel my holiday?

In the unfortunate event of you having to cancel your holiday, please refer to our Terms & Conditions of Booking (3. PRICE AND CANCELLATION) which are available here.

Can I download the Brightwater app?

A link will be sent approximately 3 weeks prior to your stay, allowing you to download the app to your mobile or laptop. The app gives full information about the Lodge and its facilities, local area, shopping and places to visit i.e. walks, beaches etc.

The Track

Due to the unspoilt nature of its surroundings, the private track to Brightwater is very uneven, particularly in very dry weather, and should always be driven with care.

It may be unsuitable for low sports cars.

Do you have a current EPC certificate?

Do You Have a Nespresso Coffee Machine?

Yes, although some capsules are provided, please bring your favourite ones.

What is a private water supply?

he water supply for Brightwater Lodge does not come from the normal mains supply. For this reason we recommend all tap water be boiled before drinking. An initial supply of bottled water is supplied on arrival. We recommend that you bring an adequate supply of bottled water.

What shopping facilities are there locally?

Due to its rural location, guests are advised to bring initial grocery supplies with them.

Details of local shops and supermarket facilities will be available on the Brightwater App, a link for which will be sent approximately 3 weeks prior to your stay.

What heating is in the property?

Brightwater Lodge has underfloor heating and takes full advantage of its South facing position by using solar panels and an air heat source pump. A log burning stove is also a cosy addition in the winter months.

What appliances are in the property?

Brightwater Lodge is furnished to the highest of standards with washing/drying machine, dishwasher, full size fridge/freezer, electric oven, induction hob and microwave.

There is a 4K smart TV with free satellite channels, DVD, CD and radio facilities.

There is a telephone for guest use (01972 500292). For any prolonged usage, please leave an honesty payment.

What time and where do we pick up the keys?

The property will be ready for you by 4pm on the day of arrival, and we will send you key information. The property must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. All times are subject to unavoidable delays. Guests are requested to leave the house in a clean and tidy condition with all furniture in its original position.

Would Brightwater Lodge be suitable for the elderly?

Brightwater Lodge offers ground floor level living with wide doorways and an ensuite wet room, making it suitable for impaired mobility or wheelchair access.

Should I bring sheets and towels?

We supply you with soft white towels, for domestic use only, tea towels, and the luxurious comfy beds will be made up with crisp Egyptian Cotton bed linen.

Do you have wifi?

Yes, superfast fibre is now available, you will find the password in the guest information folder in the Lodge.

Can we bring a dog?

One well behaved dog is welcome.

Do you offer short breaks?

No, unfortunately we do not offer short breaks.

How do I pay?

We accept payment via BACS, Cheque or Card. A non refundable 25% deposit secures your booking and the balance is due 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.

How do I book?
