Wow ! What an utterly incredible place ! We couldn’t believe our eyes when we first arrived, and it just got better and better as we explored further ! The most beautiful holiday home we’ve ever stayed in, and certainly the best welcome pack too. Huxley the Korthals Griffon was delighted with his snacks, food, and ball – the only thing is I’m now going to have to find a supplier of Wainwrights ! The view is amazing, we completely ignored the TV, radio, music, anything. Wifi was been handy for the increasingly grim virus updates, otherwise we would have ignored that too. We enjoyed the visiting Pine Martens, Badgers, Sparrowhawks, Eagle, Curlew and Oyster Catchers in the bay below. What an absolute delight to share this place with them. Our trip was curtailed by the Scottish Government demanding we all go home ….understandable, but sad of course. However, we’ve been so lucky to have got here at all, and managed to climb Ben Hiant, visit the stunning Sanna sands, get blown away at the lighthouse and walk from Camaes nan Gaell to the deserted village in the most windswept location. Our plans to visit Mull, the Singing Sands, the forest above Kentra and the Silver Walk were all sadly put on hold with our enforced early departure…but we’ll just have to come back! The Puffin Café would have been lovely, they gave us a takeaway as forced to close – and the people in the shop at Kilchoan have been so friendly. A memorable visit in so many ways !

What an extraordinary week, a 60th birthday gift from my wife. “Thank you.” Brightwater Lodge has lived up to our expectations, from the beautiful house crammed full of thoughtful things – 3 towels each ! a wonderful welcome pack, the cake – gorgeous. The little touches which have made our stay so special have not gone unnoticed – again. “Thank You.” We have had a thoroughly chilled week, made EXTRA special by the wildlife of the Peninsula – the stars of the week have been the Pine Martens and their 8.30pm visit for peanut butter and jam toast, tonight they put on a 30 min video call, with egg and sandwich eating, followed by a fantastic display of playing, absolutely breath-taking, something we will never forget. Special mention to the Badger, Yellow Hammer, Golden Eagle, Red Stags and many numerous animals seen during our stay. Huge Thanks

Our 4th stay in this marvellous place ! We had lashing wind, rain, sleet and hail – fantastic ! Lots of walks as usual to experience this wonderful landscape. Wildlife in abundance and peace, quiet and thinking time !

Another fabulous stay in our fave part of the world. Such a great escape and no matter the weather, so many life affirming moments. I can’t imagine a year when we won’t return.

Thank you so much for a lovely, comfortable and warm stay. We arrived with the aftermath of Storm Dennis, and experienced all sorts of weather every day. Brightwater Lodge was a haven to come home to. The cake was gorgeous.

We had a wonderful week celebrating our wedding at Brightwater Lodge. Though we Had rain, hail and wind on the day, the occasion was not spoilt due to the lovely surroundings and cosiness of Brightwater. The rest of the week we were surprised with beautiful sunrises, plenty of wildlife and stunning views. We enjoyed trips to Sanna Bay, Tobermory, The Puffin Café and Kilchoan. The lighthouse was also a great place to sit and watch the sunset. I’m sure we will be back again year after year.

Could not wait to return to Brightwater – and it did not disappoint at all !! Still the same warm and cosy and welcome from this gorgeous lodge. Fluffy towels and lovely bedding all add to the luxury of your stay. This time of year was log fires and walks on the beach late in the day when the mist is starting to settle on the loch. STUNNING ! Fabulous place for dogs, very pet friendly. LOVED our stay (once again) and looking forward to returning again. Thank you so much

What a magical experience. The lodge is beautiful ! Everything you need and more. The welcome pack of cake, mince pies, Prosecco, milk and bread, just so welcoming, not to mention the Doggy Pack which Snowie much enjoyed. Such a wonderful place, love to come back in Spring/Summer to see more of this spectacular area. This place just encouraged us to stop ! and be still. That in itself is priceless. Thank you
